Tod Beardsley

Tod Beardsley is VP of Security Research at runZero, where he spends an inordinate amount of time, effort, and CPU cycles identifying and counting various software, hardware, and firmware platforms connected to a multitude of networks. Most recently, he was Section Chief for Vulnerability Response at CISA. With 30+ years in security, from telephony switching to modern ICS/OT, he’s held IT, security, software, and management roles at Rapid7, 3Com, Dell, and Westinghouse. Tod is a Founder of Austin Hackers Anonymous!, and his career (and much of his personal life) is centered around vulnerability research and coordinated disclosure. Tod is a CVE Board member, author of papers, seasonal election worker, and internationally tolerated horror fiction expert.
